How To Create A Drop Down List In Google Sheets

Creating a drop down list in Google Sheets is a great way to make data entry easier and Luzenta. A drop down list allows you to select a value from a list of predetermined values. This article will guide you through the steps of creating a drop down list in Google Sheets.

Preparing Your Data

Before you can create a drop down list, you need to prepare your data. If you are creating a drop down list from a range of cells, the cells must be in the same row or column and cannot contain any blank cells. If you are creating a drop down list from a list of values, the values must be separated by commas and cannot contain any spaces. Once you have prepared your data, you are ready to create the drop down list.

Creating the Drop Down List

To create a drop down list in Google Sheets, you need to use the Data Validation tool. This will open the drop down list, where you can select the value you want to add to the cell. Once you have selected the value, it will be added to the cell.
